About Misk Schools - A Flagship School for the Kingdom and the Region

Founded by HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in 2016, Misk Schools is a state-of-the-art school in Riyadh that aims to prepare the next generation of leaders.

It aspires to push forward the frontier of innovation in education, with a focus on approaches that enable students to grow into high performing, inquisitive, problem-solving learners who have the spirit to become future leaders and exemplary citizens of the world.

As it grows, the school will play an increasingly important role in the Kingdom’s journey towards strengthening the three pillars of Vision 2030: A Vibrant Society; A Thriving Economy, and an Ambitious Nation.

Misk Schools is part of HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s Misk Foundation, a youth organisation established in 2011 to cultivate and encourage learning and leadership among the Kingdom’s youth, for a better future in Saudi Arabia. Both organisations are not for profit.

Vision: By 2030, Misk Schools will be a top school for leadership, enabling students to serve their nation and the world.

Mission: We will instil in students the knowledge, values and skills they need to become leaders of themselves, of others and in their field of study, and enable their entry to the leading universities in Saudi Arabia and the world.

High Performance Learning (HPL)

Our curriculum is carefully curated, balanced and holistic. Based on global best practices and customised to fit our specific needs, it is underpinned by personalised learning and delivered using the HPL philosophy.

HPL is based on the premise that all students can achieve high levels of academic performance – once seen as the domain of the very few – and that they are equipped with the values, attitudes and attributes that will serve them well at university, and as future leaders.

International Qualifications

Our students prepare for IGCSEs in Grades 9 and 10 and then follow an international A-level or BTEC pathway during Grades 11 and 12. We can offer the Advanced Placement (AP) for students who are committed to applying to US universities from an early age. Throughout their school career, Misk students are encouraged to compete regularly in local and international competitions and Olympiads and all students in Grade 9 and above undertake bespoke internships and leadership programmes. The graduate qualification is the unique Misk Schools Diploma.

PreK-12 Schools

After PreK and Kindergarten, there are separate boys and girls schools at each level as follows: Lower Primary (Grades 1 to 3), Upper Primary (Grades 4 to 6); Middle School (Grades 7 and 8), and Senior School (Grades 9 to 12) – collectively described as Misk Schools.

Small class sizes with a maximum of 15 students ensure that every student benefits from a personalised timetable designed to maximise his or her unique potential. Currently, student numbers sit at just under 600 up to Grade 11. Enrolment will rise progressively to 1,020.

Campus

The school’s new, purpose-built campus rivals any of the best schools around the world.

With outstanding facilities for all subjects taught, including specialist STEM and creative spaces, it also includes extensive performance and sports facilities with multiple auditoria, athletics tracks and sports fields, several swimming pools, a golf academy, equestrian sports, and facilities for e-gaming, archery and go-karting.

The campus is located in Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City – a new district in Riyadh developing as a leading hub for innovation, education, culture and media.
