The American Academy Larnaca (established in 1908) is owned by the American Academy Alumni Foundation (AAAF). The AAAF is a non-profit making organisation, a registered charity and uniquely run by its own graduates.
The AAAF also has a Nursery and Junior School, an afternoon Institute, an afternoon Sports Academy and a Summer School.
The American Academy Larnaca, with English as the medium of instruction, is a
growing, private, selective, mixed, independent school of 930 students. It is approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture and licensed in accordance to the Cyprus Private Schools Law of 1971.
The American Academy Larnaca offers quality education based on Christian values. Courses leading to GCSE/ IGCSE, A Level and University entrance have enjoyed a high level of success in recent years. The Principal of the Senior School is responsible for the curricular and administrative organisation, strategic planning and implementation and oversight of the American Academy Larnaca Senior School.
We are looking for a highly qualified leader with post-graduate qualifications and proven management experience at secondary level (experience at tertiary level will be an advantage), thorough knowledge of the curriculum offered, good interpersonal and communication skills and the vision to further develop and strengthen the school’s strategic goals and improvement programme.
