Job overview

Founded in 1953 to advance education and international understanding, St Clare’s is a very successful, international residential college based across two campuses in North Oxford. The Sixth Form College offers the IB Diploma Programme whilst the International College provides academic and English language courses for international students aged 18+. The College’s website gives a good indication of the unusual spread of activity.

The Governors wish to appoint a new Principal to replace Andy Rattue who is leaving after seven years, having led St Clare’s through the challenge of the pandemic and unified the organisation and leadership across all streams, confirming St Clare’s status as a highly rated, academically and financially successful college.

The next Principal will have ideally demonstrated a strong commitment to international education together with acute business and marketing acumen. They will also have shown a sound grasp of the College’s distinctive characteristics of a love of learning, informality and mutual respect within a secure and highly nurturing environment.
