REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2019, PRINCIPAL’S PA

The Governors wish to appoint a Principal’s PA for September 2019 following the promotion of the current post holder. The person appointed will be required to provide a high quality secretarial service to the Principal.

We are seeking to appoint a skilled, motivated and committed Personal Assistant (PA) to work alongside the Principal of the Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator, secretary or personal assistant who is seeking a new opportunity. As a Personal Assistant, you will work closely with the Principal to provide administrative support, usually on a one-to-one basis. You will help the Principal make the best use of their time by dealing with varied administrative tasks including maintaining diaries, arranging appointments, organising meetings as well as liaising with staff, parents / families and external agencies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, confident and professional individual who has a strong secretarial or administrative background with proven organisational ability. You will have excellent organisation and communication skills, and take pride in the presentation and accuracy of your work. You will be pro- active with a high degree of initiative and the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. You will be fully competent in using a wide variety of software packages. You will also have experience of implementing and maintaining procedures and administrative systems.

Candidates must:

· Have previous experience of working as a PA

· Be able to maintain confidentiality

· Have substantial experience of working within a busy administration team

· Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Be competent in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel)

· Have a flexible approach and be willing to work additional hours if required

· Have a positive attitude and work well with others
