About British School Dhahran

Mission

We inspire innovation and compassionate action.

Our Core Values

Respect, acceptance, integrity, responsibility ... with a commitment to act.

Location

The school is located next to the US Consulate and occupies a well-resourced 40-acre campus shared with two American schools. Each school operates independently and Dhahran British Grammar teaches according to the precepts of the National Curriculum.

The school accommodates pupils from Pre-Reception to Year 13 and currently has a school population of over 700 pupils. DBGS is an accredited examination centre for Cambridge International Examinations and Edexcel.

We assess and track student progress as a matter of course. This provides us with a valuable aspect of the teaching and learning process as well as summative information to share with parents.

The school population is international with the largest national grouping being British.  Students are taught by suitably qualified and experienced staff who themselves are largely British.

DBGS has a relatively high percentage of sponsored teachers, around 66% with 33% of teachers locally employed. This is to ensure the continuity and stability of the teaching programme and to enable a large number of specialist subjects to be taught across the school.

You can find more about the school through video tour of the school and from our website.
