Job overview

We are looking for a senior leader from a school, who has made a difference and understands the importance of joining us on our improvement journey. Our Infant school is already an ‘outstanding’ school and we are in the process of ensuring our Junior school follows in their footsteps and both become the school of choice in the area.

The Castle Hill Infant and Junior Schools’ Principal retired in December 2016, and we have a very experienced Interim Principal in post for two terms who is quickly establishing firm foundations and structures for the new Principal to build on. We have two new Vice Principals who are inspirational and eager to make a difference – this is an exciting time to join our schools!

We want children to believe in their futures, themselves and the possibilities around them. Our academies have excellent strategies around getting children to school and they feel that they belong, and of course if children come to school, they can improve. We are establishing a child-centred approach across all year groups, to ensure that children can become the best that they can be, exceeding their own expectations.

Our three schools in Ipswich work closely together and staff are involved in a nine-month project with Early Excellence to improve questioning, learning environments and of course outcomes for children. In September 2017, these staff will be ready to fly with the new Principal. Do you think you could be the one who is able to take this opportunity and be a leader of Castle Hill Infant and Junior Schools?

We recommend you visit our school and talk our Regional Executive Principal, even if you are a little bit interested. Ring the Castle Hill office on 01473 741758 to make an appointment.

Cliff Lane Primary School is also part of our Trust and a term in front of Castle Hill Infant and Junior Schools on the improvement journey. The Principal of Cliff Lane, Nadia Bosse, would also welcome phone calls or visits to her school from anyone who is interested in this post. Nadia joined the Trust in September 2016 and has experienced the transformational support that the Trust provides, both physically for the building and support for leadership.

This post will be a career defining role for a Principal. There are currently 580 children and the roll is growing to a PAN of 710. What are you waiting for? This is the best opportunity in the East of England at the moment for a leader with drive and ambition.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Starting – September 2017 (or as soon as possible)

Salary – £62,240 (Leadership 20) to £72, 089 (Leadership 26)

Role – Permanent

Closing date: Tuesday, 14th March 2017

Interview dates: Tuesday, 21st and Wednesday, 22nd March 2017
