John Paul Academy is a mixed, non-selective, Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in the Summerston region in the north west side of Glasgow. It is a state school that liaises with a community school in Kenya. Smaller than average in size for a school of its type, Good Schools Guide reports a school roll of 685 secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 12-18.

The school is named after Pope John Paul II, who visited Glasgow to perform an open-air mass in 1982, the year the school was established. The current headteacher has been serving since 2014.
