Values and vision

Teaching at Jamiatul Ummah School is infused with an Islamic ethos. The school was started to engage students through full-time education, while aiming to protect them from the dangers of crime, gang-fighting and underachievement evident in schools at the time. These values persist today in a strong sense of positive community which is grounded in belief.

Jamiatul Ummah School is geared toward helping students to achieve their academic goals while imparting a sense of community and religious values to its students. It watches each student closely to monitor their academic growth and offers one-to-one consulting in order to conceive a plan of action that is specific and personal to that student. The school believes this allows the students to work to their greatest strengths and grow.

Ofsted

“In 2014, all Year 11 students attained five or more GCSE A* to C grades including English and mathematics. Students’ behaviour is consistently good. They are well mannered, respectful and self-disciplined. Leadership provides a good range of opportunities for students to practice and develop their faith.”
