Job overview

The Marist is a Catholic Independent Day School of 440 girls aged 3-18 years, set in beautiful grounds with an identity and mission based on Marist values.  The school welcomes girls of all faiths and offers a broad, high quality education which enables the girls to excel in music, drama and sport and to achieve outstanding results at GCSE and A level. Strong relationships between staff and pupils, and among the girls themselves, contribute to the Marist’s reputation for confident achievement and personal flourishing.

Following Karl McCloskey’s 20 years of dedicated service as Head, the Governing Body seeks an inspiring, energetic leader who will develop the strengths and individuality of this exceptional community and guide the school forward.

The successful candidate will be a well-qualified, experienced senior leader, a practising Catholic, who has the vision, strategic capabilities and drive to promote the school with passion and conviction, working effectively with staff, pupils, governors and parents.
