The Governors of S. Peter’s Collegiate CE School are seeking to appoint an inspirational Principal who has a proven track record of raising standards and rapid school improvement and who is passionate about ensuring that all students are able to fulfil their potential.

S. Peter’s Collegiate School was founded in 1844 and has a long and distinguished history. There are currently 1032 students including 207 in the Sixth Form. The school is currently judged ‘Outstanding’ by both Ofsted and SIAMS, although both inspections were in 2011 and new inspections are now due. Achievement is well above the national average and the school offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities with particular strength in music and sport. The school has a caring and compassionate Christian ethos with a strong commitment to inclusion and support for our student and their families.

The school currently has an Interim Principal, a financial deficit has been abolished, new management structures and systems have been implemented and further action is being taken to ensure long-term financial stability. Governors are committed to the growth of the school and are in the process of developing a strategy for the school’s future.

St Peter’s Collegiate Academy is a co-educational, Church of England, non-selective secondary academy for children aged 11-18. The school is situated in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands and has approximately 1,300 pupils on its roll. It was founded in 1844.

The school is an 11-18 Church of England Academy, awarded Good Status by Ofsted (September 2017) and also in the Section 48 Diocesan report.

St Peter's joined Three Spires Trust on 1st May 2021 as one of the founding members of the new Diocesan multi academy trust.
