Tes is supporting the appointment of a Procurement and Contracts Manager to join a Trust based in Camden.
Are you a skilled and experienced Procurement and Contracts Manager with a passion for delivering exceptional value for money? They have an exciting opportunity for you to join their dynamic team as a Procurement and Contracts Manager (Hard and Soft FM).
As a key member of their Procurement Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of their procurement strategy, with a special focus on hard and soft facilities management services. Working closely with the Head of Procurement and National Head of Operations, you will provide your expertise in procurement and contribute to the development of the contracts pipeline for this category of spend.
Your responsibilities will include designing contract management processes for high-value contracts , embedding them across the trust, and ensuring professional contract management that delivers excellent value for money to their schools. You will undertake required tender activity and lead negotiations with suppliers
Your keen eye for savings opportunities will be instrumental in identifying and prioritising cost-saving opportunities for all FM expenditure, leveraging the combined demand of all their schools within the Trust . You will collaborate with budget holders and functional specialists to prepare specifications, ensuring that all procurement processes are compliant with relevant legislation including the PCR2015
In addition, you will provide guidance and support to colleagues involved in procurement activities, fostering compliance, control, and value for money. Building and maintaining positive relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders will be crucial to your success.
As a proactive professional holding the MCIPS qualification, you will negotiate contracts for goods and services, aiming to improve terms and conditions with suppliers to enhance trading operations and customer/supplier relations. You will also establish mechanisms for reporting and monitoring Key Performance Indicators, ensuring that contractual performance is effectively tracked and reported to colleagues.
