Programme and Events Lead (Summer Institute)

Fixed term until December 20th 2019

The link between low income and low academic attainment is greater in the UK than almost any other developed nation. Children eligible for free school meals are less likely to get good GCSEs and go on to higher education. This makes it more likely they will struggle throughout their lives, widening social inequality. It’s a cycle that we’re determined to break.

We work with thousands of brilliant teachers, schools, universities and partners in England and Wales and we are seeking an exceptional Programme and Events Lead, to join our local area team in London on a fixed term contract.

This role is responsible for the central planning and project management of Summer Institute (weeks 1-5) and associated events. The Programme and Events Lead responsibilities include making operational decisions, cohering and implementing the release of SI information and supporting the London region teams throughout.

You are someone with experience of managing large scale events and conferences that meet delegate expectations, who is skilled in managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently.

Along with the satisfaction of knowing you are working for an organisation who are making a real difference, you will also receive £34,510 per annum (pro rata) & excellent benefits.

The day when no child’s future is limited by their background is coming, yet, there is still more to be done. Join us and help us ensure every child in the UK has a fair shot at achieving their ambitions.
