Job overview

Programme and Events Lead

Permanent

East Midlands

The link between low income and low academic attainment is greater in the UK than almost any other developed nation. Children eligible for free school meals are less likely to get good GCSEs and go on to higher education. This makes it more likely they will struggle throughout their lives, widening social inequality. It’s a cycle that we’re determined to break.

We work with thousands of brilliant teachers, schools, universities and partners in England and Wales and we are seeking an exceptional Programme and Events Lead, to join our regional team in the East Midlands.

The Programme & Events Lead is a project management specialist who is jointly accountable for the high quality and consistent delivery of the two-year Teach First Leadership Development Programme (LDP), including the five-week residential Summer Institute and other regionally based programmes as required by the Regional Director.

You are someone with a proven track record in leading and managing the planning, execution and evaluation of small and large scale, multi-audience and high-value events (up to 500 attendees) along with recent and demonstrable experience of end-to-end project planning and delivery, from inception of idea to evaluation and implementation, bringing people with you along the way.

Along with the satisfaction of knowing you are working for an organisation who are making a real difference, you will also receive £31,510 per annum & excellent benefits.

The day when no child’s future is limited by their background is coming, yet, there is still more to be done. Join us and help us ensure every child in the UK has a fair shot at achieving their ambitions.
