About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring Programme Leader to join the Hairdressing & Barbering team to provide teaching across a range of Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.   

This position would suit an exceptional and talented Hair professional who is well practiced within this thriving industry. Working within the team you will be expected to provide excellent learning opportunities and demonstrate high standards of technical skills required for the students to achieve their full potential. Candidates will need to demonstrate relevant previous experience and must have the drive and determination to ensure that students succeed.  

As a programme lead you may also be required to teach an evening session during term time in our commercial salons.

About you

For this position you should be committed with a positive and approachable attitude to ensure learners meet targets and are provided with an encouraging and value driven experience. You should have a passionate and pro-active approach in delivering teaching excellence and assessment in both skills and knowledge across all levels of the hairdressing programmes.

You should be an experienced hair professional with current industry knowledge, exceptional cutting, fading and tapering skills and great interpersonal skills. 

You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of our team. As the ideal candidate you will be able to support our learners with enrichment opportunities from your experience and professional industry links. 

About us

Our Hospitality, Hair and Beauty faculty is based within the Laurence Building at our Hele Road campus, close to the heart of the city centre, just a few minutes’ walk from Exeter St. David’s and Exeter Central Stations. We have exceptional commercial facilities to include the @34 AA rosette Restaurant, three commercial hairdressing/barbering salons, four beauty therapy clinics and a Spa.
