This is an exciting opportunity to join the successful and friendly Faculty of Art & Design. Successful applicants are likely to have had experience of working with a range of learners with varied educational backgrounds and must be committed to outstanding teaching and learning.
Situated in a purpose built building The Centre for Creative Industries, the Faculty predominantly delivers a range of art-based subjects from Fine Art, Graphics, Photography to Fashion and Textiles, these including UAL Level 2 Diploma, A Levels, UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma, UAL Foundation Diploma and Access to HE. The faculty actively listens to its learners, and we have very positive learner feedback.
We are seeking a forward-thinking and highly motivated lecturer to teach art across our programmes, assist with curriculum development, market and promote courses. You will be joining a highly functioning and experience team who work cohesively to plan and deliver our growing Extended Diploma provision.
You will be able to demonstrate recent experience of teaching at a post compulsory level, have industry experience or hold a relevant degree. Up to date knowledge of contemporary photographic practice is essential. We are also looking for someone with a teaching qualification.
A flexible approach and excellent organisational/ interpersonal skills are required. A sound communicator, your administrative skills will be strong along with good problem solving skills. You will be an effective team player able to develop and disseminate best practise within the team and faculty.
