An opportunity has arisen for am experienced Programme Leader - Progression Curriculums to join The Trafford College Group (TCG) and play a leading role in realising our vision to unlock the potential and foster the success of all our learners by coordinating and managing a designated number of programmes as agreed with the Head of Studies. Cordinating and managing a number of programmes for students with SEN , Personal, Social and Emotional difficulties and those who have not met their full potential with maths and English
About you:
We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead, manage and motivate a team and build relationships to deliver objectives and organisational improvement. You will have experience of working within a Further Education setting with a strong track record of delivering high standards of teaching, learning and assessment. You will have excellent subject knowledge within your area of specialism.
The Job:
You will support the Head of Studies by managing the day to day running of the department in the absence of the Head of Studies; you will also support in being available to deal with health and safety matters and supporting the commercial aspects of the provision. You will be responsible for outcomes for learners across programmes responsible for including but not limited to attendance, retention, progress, achievement, destinations and student feedback .You will manage the coordination and quality of teaching activity across the programme area of responsibility. You will also have responsibility for the recruitment of learners across the programme area of responsibility.
In addition you will have responsibility for line managing staff responsible for delivery and support including the performance of the team by communicating and clarifying expectations, setting objectives, identifying performance indicators and providing feedback. You will also support the Head of Studies with the annual self-assessment for the team and lead on the process of course review and development.

In order to be successful in this role you must have a PGCE or equivalent (minimum of level 5 teaching qualification), a relevant degree or vocational qualification and Level 2 maths and English or equivalent. A management qualification and verifier accreditation would be desirable.
