At present we employ 269 salaried teaching and assessing staff. We also employ 256 administrative staff, 38 managers and approximately 200 hourly paid teachers and assessors. Programme Manager – Engineering and HE  Post No: LC009

Salary up to £39,251 per annum

The Programme Manager – Engineering and HE will have responsibility for the management of Engineering curriculum from L1 to L3 including Advanced Apprenticeships, as well as Engineering and Civil Engineering Higher Education programmes Level 4 to Level 6 and Higher / Graduate Apprenticeships. 

The successful candidate will be expected to drive the continuous improvement of existing programmes and develop new provision which meets the needs of learners and employment stakeholders. Maintenance and operation of robust quality systems will be an essential part of the duties and line management of curriculum staff is required, there will also be a fractional teaching commitment on an appropriate programme within the curriculum area. 

Applicants will have extensive experience as a practitioner in Further and/or Higher Education. Have a record of effective management of groups of learners and leadership of course teams. They should be familiar with the quality systems of one or more relevant awarding bodies. Ideally holding a Degree level qualification in an Engineering or related subject they also need to hold or be prepared to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.
