London, West End

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Programme Manager with GCSE curriculum experience within English or Maths to join our growing Further Education provision and support our students undertaking English and Maths GCSEs.

The Programme Manager will be a key member of the curriculum delivery team, providing day-to-day operational management and leadership to our English and Maths Teachers, and will be responsible for the course development, currency, quality, and performance of teaching, with a specific focus on enhancing attainment and the student experience, whilst developing an innovative creative curriculum. The role has no allocated teaching hours and although cover support may be required will be strategic in nature.

This role will have the responsibility for our students undertaking both English and Maths GCSEs.

About you

  • The successful candidate will have a teaching qualification and operational managerial experience within an educational setting (secondary or Post 16).
  • The role is ideal for either an experienced English or Maths teacher who has had curriculum and teaching and learning oversite to take the next step in their career.
  • Ideally you will have experience of leading or managing a department or key stage within either English or Maths specialism.
  • We are looking for a committed team player who has effective and innovative curriculum development, course, and programme management skills, with up-to-date knowledge of their subject area and current Post 16 education, policy, and practice.
  • Whilst this role will be responsible for both our English and Maths GCSE’s programmes, we accept and encourage applications from individuals with specialism in either area.
  • You must have great communication and organisational skills, as well as good IT, digital and administrative abilities.
  • The successful candidate will have effective people management skills and the ability to motivate and coach our English and Maths Teachers, whilst showing clear management and leadership of the area.
  • In addition, you must have a deep understanding of pastoral care and safeguarding issues and be committed to the development and progression of all learners.

If you are interested in joining a dynamic and expanding environment to further develop your career, then we would love to hear from you.
