Job overview
We are looking for a Progress Coach to provide academic support to students with Direct Instruction experience or willing to train
To provide direct instruction to identified groups of students
To participate in screening and diagnostic testing as required by the programme
To ensure the programme is delivered according to training received
To ensure that all administration and record keeping for identified groups of students are kept up-to-date and legal responsibilities are fulfilled
To provide expertise in the Direct Instruction programme
To attend meetings as appropriate regarding direct instruction and provide professional reports to such meetings as required
To liaise with the student support team ensuring information sharing and collaborative working
To work with parents in ensuring students are supported
To identify where support for students and their families is needed and liaise with other professionals within the learning support team and

About Hartshill Academy
Hartshill Academy is a secondary academy in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, for pupils aged 11-16.
Hartshill Academy is set in extensive grounds and the catchment covers very diverse urban and rural areas. This is a very exciting time for Hartshill Academy as we prepare for the move to our new building in September 2023. We are very fortunate to be one of the 50 schools chosen nationally as part of this project and we are all looking forward to the new opportunities this will bring.
