Full time, starting in January 2024.

 

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Progress Leader (Pastoral, (WRAP): Attendance & Progress) to join our school who will have a primary role as a teacher of Science or Geography with additional responsibilities to oversee and take responsibility for a year group of students, monitoring and tracking behaviour, welfare, attendance, and raising student achievement and progress. The successful candidate will teach up to A-Level. This is an exciting opportunity for a colleague with aspirations for whole school pastoral leadership.

 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

·       To successfully lead and manage a team of tutors.

·       To have responsibility for the welfare of students within the year group.

·       To identify areas where students need additional support and work with the appropriate people to implement. 

·       To oversee the planning, execution and monitoring of intervention for students in the year group.

·       To organise and attend meetings with students and parents.

·       To assist with the development and implementation of behaviour plans.

·       To develop, implement and promote the school rewards system including the Attend Tool, re- integration programme and continuity of education plans.

·       To arrange and promote activities within the school.

·       To improve attendance and punctuality within the year group.

·       To maintain oversight of the year group’s assessment calendar.

·       To promote good mental health, growing confidence and self-regulation with students’ approach to learning and assessment.

·       Through analysis of ATL and progress data, identify and work with colleagues to overcome students’ barriers to learning and progress.

·       To liaise with parents to improve students’ progress and learning.

·       To ensure a continuity of learning for students where there is disruption (e.g., transitions/extended absence).
