We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational individual to support students during their time here at the City of Liverpool College. 

You will do this by

  • Ensuring they are making progress and achieve their targets and personal goals,
  • Help support them in their progression to higher levels of study or employment/apprenticeships
  • To be the advocate for the student. 
  • Deliver the hidden curriculum during tutorial sessions in line with the colleges key strategic aims
  • Ensuring the pastoral support is in place for students

The successful candidate will join a growing team of Progress Leaders working with a range of different levels of student and different curriculum areas.  They will need to be focused on ensuring students are supported to gain the skills & expertise to forge a path to progress to their next steps.


The role will require you manage a caseload of students from a various curriculum backgrounds.  You will be expected to have excellent communication skills and effectively plan and deliver a tutorial curriculum to meet the needs of the students.  You will need to be able to track students’ progress and have excellent time management and organisational skills. 

You will need to have excellent IT and written communication skills.  An awareness of University applications and report writing would be desirable.  

A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. 

The role requires a confident person who would extend employer/HEI engagement across the department, developing sustainable relationships with industry and HEIs that benefits both the students, HEIs and employers.
