Sponne is a successful, over-subscribed community comprehensive school with 1418 students aged 11-18 on roll and specialist status for Science and Music. Outcomes are very high with 75% of students gaining grades 9-4 in English and Mathematics at GCSE and a positive Progress 8 score.
We are seeking to appoint a talented and committed Progress Learning Leader to lead a team of tutors for a year group from September 2020. Initially this is likely to be at KS3 but PLL’s experience years 7-11 and they rotate with their year group. The role has a Teaching commitment and all subject specialisms can be accommodated in this vibrant and exciting school.
The successful candidate will:
- Have Qualified Teacher Status
- Be secure in their own very good or outstanding teaching
- Proven experience of making a positive impact on the learning of students through the monitoring of academic progress
- Have to meet the person specification and will be required to apply for a DBS disclosure
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Training and development opportunities will be offered. All staff are encouraged to study further and the trust will actively support staff to obtain relevant further qualifications where possible. Sponne School is part of Tove Learning Trust.
