We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Progress Tutor to join our established team at Oldham Sixth Form College. This full-time, 41-week position offers a rewarding role for individuals who are keen on working with young people and potentially interested in pursuing a future in teaching. They may also suit you if you are a teacher looking for a role with work/life balance.

As a Progress Tutor, you'll play a pivotal role in our students' success by overseeing the progress of a caseload of students, delivering ready-made engaging group tutorials, and providing personalised pastoral support and guidance. You'll work closely with students to set and monitor targets related to achievement, retention, attendance, and progression, while also collaborating to develop pastoral resources to support their learning experience and wellbeing.

The ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple deadlines. You'll need to be self-motivated, a strong team player, and proficient in IT skills. Most importantly, you'll have a genuine passion for working with young people and providing them with the support they need to succeed.

While a graduate degree is desirable, for the right person it is not essential.  We welcome applications from individuals with relevant experience and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of our students. OSFC is an award-winning college for 2,350 students in Oldham and beyond.
