SGS College is one of the key partners of the Future Quest Project, which is part of the National and Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP). The NCOP programme brings together 29 partnerships of universities, colleges and other local partners to deliver outreach programmes to young people and those considering higher qualifications. SGS is looking to appoint a Future Quest Coordinator for its Bristol provision.

 

Within this role you will engage with our SGS L3 Bristol based students by a variety of methods, to inform, discuss and encourage progression into higher education. The post holder will be expected to engage with local schools and community groups, to highlight the work of Future Quest and to explore further collaborative opportunities.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for co-ordinating a programme of Future Quest activities including organising the logistics, securing college and student engagement
  • To draft reports, prepare and deliver briefings, training and presentations as required.
  • To monitor students on a one-to-one basis, signposting them to relevant resources and services as necessary
  • Be responsible for having a good knowledge of individual student’s skills and ensuring that additional support is made available to students as required.
  • To build and maintain relationships with contacts across the college and with key partners in universities, schools and third sector organisations, including attending internal and external meetings.
  • Any other reasonable duties that fall within the scope of the post, as allocated by the line manager, following consultation with the post holder.


Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Holds a First Degree or demonstrate the equivalent experience
  • Teaching Qualification
  • Good organisational skills and broad-based administrative experience
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience working with complex data base systems and interpreting data
