Bradford Central PRU (BCPRU) has secured funding from the DfE, through a successful application to the Alternative Provision Innovation Fund (APIF), to deliver a project titled ‘Support improved reintegration rates through trialing key worker support for children, and develop partnerships with secondary schools in the area’.We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the project for a fixed term from 1st January 2019, or before, to 31st July 2020. Due to the nature of the role and its requirements, it is expected that the successful candidate will be a practicing qualified teacher with recent leadership experience. In addition, we will be willing to consider applications from colleagues who are able to take up the post on secondment.

What we need from you:

  • Proven technical skills and ability to work with young people, families, schools and other agencies, with a record of accomplishment for delivering outcomes
  • Professional credibility through proven relevant experience
  • Ability and desire to model and demonstrate our values
  • Professional knowledge of the secondary or alternative provision education sector, with proven experience of developing and implementing programmes and interventions that support young people
  • A professional background in promoting and delivering inclusion in secondary or alternative provision educational settings
  • A creative and innovative approach to programme design and development, with the ability to engage, mobilise and motivate people to address challenges, and challenge perceptions about young people in Bradford
  • A strategic thinker, who understands the wider inclusion context and the positioning of the project for different stakeholders and is able to manage people, providers and key stakeholders through change
  • Be self-motivated, with the ability to take independent decisions that help to achieve the outcomes and objectives of the project, whilst embedding our core values into the projects day-to-day delivery
  • An effective collaborator, recognising the strengths of people and organisations; taking a strengths-based approach to make the most of opportunities
  • A smart, flexible worker; recognising how to carry out the role in the most effective way, including collaboration and partnership working with key project partners
  • Demonstrates resilience and consistency by remaining calm and in control and maintains effective work behaviours, when faced with setbacks or pressure
  • Passionate about Bradford and improved social mobility; understanding how to raise the aspirations and ambitions through greater connectivity to education and inclusion
