Salary information: Scale SO2, £34,918 - £36,551 per annum (depending on experience) + SSA £1,337

Work pattern: 36 hours per week, Term time only + 5 training days and 1 additional week (equivalent) to be worked as directed time, spread across the academic year as required (40 weeks)

We require 1 Project Search Instructor to work with students with moderate and complex learning difficulties.

Please note: This role will occasionally require the successful applicant to work outside of their contracted hours, this will be discussed during the interview process. The successful candidate will be required to work at The Marriott Hotel - Heathrow.

We are seeking a passionate, resilient, and enthusiastic Project Search Instructor to join our school community. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a school that works collaboratively to empower our pupils with lifelong skills and enables our young people to reach the highest levels of independence in adult life.

Ideal Candidates Will Have and appropriate qualification (or equivalent) at a minimum Level 3 such as:

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training / Supporting Teaching & Learning.
  • Level 3 PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector).
  • Assessor Qualifications (TAQA – Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement).
  • Training Qualifications (e.g. Level 3 Certificate in Delivering Training).
  • Experience working in an SEN setting (preferred but not essential – training and support will be provided).
  • Strong knowledge of employability skills and job coaching techniques.
  • Experience in coordinating work placements, job descriptions, and workplace accommodations.
  • Ability to use initiative and to make decisions.
  • Good ICT skills.
  • A positive attitude, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to an inclusive environment and education to learners with additional needs.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training will be provided).
