We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated teacher to take responsibility for the strategic leadership of PSHE & RSHE, an increasingly important area of the curriculum.  Applications are welcome from resourceful, committed individuals, with a track record of outstanding classroom practice and experience of planning and teaching PSHE/RSHE lessons.  Some previous leadership experience would be an advantage, but we will also consider applications from colleagues seeking their first leadership role.

PSHE & RSHE are delivered at Alec Hunter through our Learning for Life curriculum, which benefits from dedicated timetabled slots in all years (7-11), encompassing a broad range of topics. Strong communication and organisation skills, along with a commitment to forming positive relationships with young people, are therefore essential qualities for this post. Learning for Life is based in the Humanities curriculum area - a friendly, supportive team with a keen focus on innovative techniques and a desire to improve outcomes for our students.
