Contract term: Permanent

As a Teacher at Broadbeck Learning Centre you'll get to deliver the kind of education you always wanted to. You’ll have superb leadership, specialist support and state-of-the-art-facilities, allowing you to focus on delivering the National Curriculum to a group of primary and secondary aged pupils in a memorable way. Committed to fulfilling the potential of each and every one of our students, no matter what their educational needs (including emotional and social difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and speech and language communication difficulties), you share our belief that all young people are capable of achieving great things.

This is why we’re only interested in hearing from superb classroom practitioners. Those who take the National Curriculum and bring it alive in a way that’s meaningful and engaging to our students. Ideally you’ll have experience of dealing with complex education needs, as you’ll need to connect with our students – understanding what makes them unique and working to make a real difference to their social and emotional development. But none of this fazes you, as it’s what you’re passionate about. And why you’ll fit right in.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new multi-million pound, purpose built facility. Broadbeck Learning Centre is an independent day school catering for 14 young people with BESD and complex needs. The Learning Centre benefits from excellent staffing ratios and small class sizes, ensuring that every pupil in our integrated provision receives a highly personalised curriculum and is treated as an individual. We are part of the Witherslack Group, a highly successful and expanding national SEN Group with a ‘no limits’ approach to learning.

For children and young people with complex, challenging needs, the level of care and education must go above and beyond. That’s what drives us, here at Witherslack Group. We are a leading provider of specialist education and care for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, communication difficulties, complex learning needs and challenging behaviours. We have a reputation for excellence and of achieving the highest possible outcomes. In short, we’re enhancing life opportunities.

We know you’re going to do great things. For your hard work and commitment, we want to reward you with a salary and benefits package that’s among the best in our sector. You’ll receive a competitive salary, Teacher Pension Scheme or a range of flexible pension options to suit personal circumstances (where applicable) and comprehensive induction and ongoing training, as well as extensive Group staff benefits such as Medicash Health Plan/Employee Assistance and Cycle to Work Scheme. Witherslack conducts DBS Enhanced checks and covers the costs for all new employees.
