Psychology Teacher (A Level) Maternity Cover

Currently undergoing an exciting and successful transformation in learning and teaching, we are actively seeking to appoint enthusiastic and innovative teachers to join us and help shape our journey from Good to Outstanding.   

We therefore seek a dynamic, highly motivated and inspirational A Level Psychology teacher to join our successful Sixth Form for this Maternity cover post. The popularity and success of Psychology has helped us to become one of the top Sixth Forms in the county, with an ALPS grade in the top 30% of schools nationally. However, we do not rest on our laurels and are keen to appoint a forward thinking colleague who can take on the new A Level programme and progress the subject still further.

This is an excellent career opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about the entitlement of young people to acquire an introduction to and understanding of the common principles and methods of Psychology through a challenging and vibrant curriculum. Our popular and successful school (11–18) stands in beautiful open countryside on the edge of Beaminster, a Dorset town with great charm and historic interest, just 6 miles from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. We have a joint Sixth Form with our partner school, the Sir John Colfox Academy in Bridport, with teaching in Years 12 and 13 shared between the two schools.
