Monkton is seeking to appoint a part-time (or full-time - see below) teacher of Psychology from September 2018. The successful applicant will share our vision for fostering a love of lifelong learning, both for students and teachers. He or she will have a commitment to individuals, seeing this as the basis for students to flourish. He or she will see education as lighting fires rather than filling pails, and appreciate the contribution that co-curricular activities make to the learning process.
A willingness to get fully and energetically involved in the co-curricular and pastoral life of the School is essential. An ability to teach the Extended Project Qualification would be an advantage.
Where a second subject is offered, the role could be made up to a full-time role. Further pastoral responsibilities may be available for a suitable candidate which, depending on the size of the responsibility, may also make this a full-time role.
The salary offered is in accordance with the Monkton Combe Teaching Staff Salary Scale and allowances.
