The Koc school is a excellent place to develop professionally. As the entry criteria for the Turkish students is extremely demanding, teachers get to work with bright and enthusiastic students and ignite their passion for further study.
The successful candidate will be required to inspire and challenge students and prepare them for examination. Candidates will be expected to teach to ‘IB’ Standard level.

Requirements

The school is looking for fully qualified / certified teachers who have at least two years teaching experience. All teaching in the subject is conducted in English. The school caters for the very young children of its teachers (birth to five years) and those ready for the ‘IB’ Diploma. It isn’t suitable for those of intermediate age. For visa purposes applicants must have a degree in their subject and their teacher training specialism in their subject as well.

About The Koc School

 The Koc School is a private school in Istanbul, Turkey. The city of Istanbul is the largest in Turkey, with a population of 14.8 million in the metropolitan municipality. Koç School is located on a 750-acre campus on the eastern outskirts of Istanbul, near Tuzla, The school was founded by Vehbi Koç, one of the wealthiest businessmen in Turkey. Founded in 1988, the school has since expanded to approximately 2,115 students on the school roll. The Koc School has a limited boarding school provision. Students are taught on a bi-lingual Turkish/English basis, with extra language focus on German and French. The school’s motto is ‘reason, conscience, courage’, and its colours are red and black.

The school has taught the International Baccalaureate programme since 1994, and is incorporated under the Vehbi Koç Foundation. School facilities include laboratories, auditorium, music rooms, student lounges, and cafeteria. The expanded library has been based adjacent to the main school since 2002. Sporting facilities include Tennis Courts, Sports Centre, swimming pools, and a football pitch.
