Juniper Green Primary School is a co-educational non-denominational primary school administered by City of Edinburgh Education Department. It serves the residents of the Juniper Green, Baberton Mains and Colinton/Hailes areas of Edinburgh, a broad social mix. The majority of pupils move on to secondary school education at Currie Community High School.

The school has a new building with excellent educational facilities. There are 14 classes 2 at each stage, with a morning and afternoon nursery. The building has classrooms with flexible space for active learning, a dining hall, gymnasium, ICT suite and music/science room. The playground is well designed for interesting and active play.

The Headteacher and Depute Headteacher's are non-teaching. The Infant Depute Headteacher is in charge of the Nursery and Infant Department . There are specialist teachers for music, P.E. cello, woodwind, brass and swimming.

The support staff comprises of a business manager, school administrator, a clerical assistant and sixteen pupil support assistants.

The school has a Parent Council. After School Care club is available catering for pupils from P1-P7.

Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
