Job Description
You have the opportunity to join the Guidance team and Additional Support Team within the Support Faculty at Perth Academy.

Subject to the policies of the school and the education authority the duties of teachers, promoted and unpromoted, are to perform such tasks as the Head Teacher shall direct having reasonable regard to overall teacher workload related to the following categories:

Consulting with class teachers to plan and deliver learning opportunities taking content, context and teaching approaches into consideration.
Planning and teaching Personal & Social Education programmes that are innovative and flexible in order to enhance pupil health and well-being.
Providing feedback to pupils and their parents / carers on issues related to pupils’ progress.
Collaborative planning and evaluation of Individualised Educational Programmes for assigned pupils.
Promoting and safeguarding the health, well-being and safety of pupils.
Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development.
Contributing towards good order and the positive ethos of schools.
Assisting the Principal Teacher (Guidance) in the provision of advice, support and pastoral care to pupils.
Supporting the implementation of whole school policies dealing with guidance issues, pastoral care, assessment and pupil welfare.
Working in partnership with colleagues, parents, other agency specialists and staff in other schools as appropriate.
In addition, experience of the delivery of nurturing approaches would be beneficial in the role.
