Pupil Support Teacher

Rattray lies within walking distance of the town of Blairgowrie, right at the heart of Eastern Perthshire.  Surrounded by berry fields, with Glenshee only a short trip to the North, this is a beautiful part of Scotland.  The successful candidate will be joining an enthusiastic team, working hard to get things right for all of our children. 

The Role

• Direct teaching of individuals and groups of children along with associated planning and recordingLeading in-service with class teachers and auxiliaries to up-skill staff in this aspect of their work
• Leading review meetings for children with identified additional support needs
• Completing data input to SEEMIS
• Providing specialist assessment
• Providing advice and guidance to pupils and teachers on issues related to their educational progress and welfare
• Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils
• Working in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals
• Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development
• Participating in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review
• Contributing towards good order and the wider needs of the school
