York High School is seeking to appoint a colleague as a Pupil Welfare Admin Assistant to be responsible for specific administrative functions and to monitor and develop existing processes and procedures.

This is an opportunity for a skilled individual to work in a key administrative post that contributes directly to the care of young people at York High School. The successful candidate will work to support our Pupil Well-Being and Child Protection Officer.

The successful candidate will:

·   be extremely well organised and able to work well under pressure to tight deadlines

·   have excellent ICT skills, including experience in all aspects of Microsoft Office

·   be able to manage difficult situations and exercise good judgement

·   have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving

·   possess excellent communication, organisational skills and team work

This is a term time only role for 37 hours per week.

York High is a mixed 11–16 school serving a genuinely comprehensive intake. The last 4 years have seen rapid and sustained change with the school earning a ‘good’ judgement from Ofsted in September 2022. You would be joining a school with a commitment to excellent pastoral care and to maximising the potential of all of our students.
