Job overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic PYP Coordinator who is fluent in both English and Russian. The ideal candidate will have a vast pedagogical experience and will be responsible for leading and coordinating the implementation of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the school leadership team to ensure that the school's mission, vision, and goals align with the IB programme's philosophy and pedagogy.

• Lead and coordinate the implementation of the PYP curriculum across all year levels, ensuring that it aligns with the school's academic program.

• Support and guide teachers in planning, teaching, assessing, and reporting student progress.

• Lead and facilitate PYP professional development opportunities for staff, ensuring that they are up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices.

• Act as a liaison between the school and the IB, ensuring that the school's PYP programme is in compliance with IB standards and requirements.

• Promote the PYP programme to parents, students, and the wider community, ensuring that they understand its philosophy and benefits.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the PYP programme, and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

• Fluency in both English and Russian

• A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

• A minimum of 5 years of pedagogical experience, preferably in an IB school setting

• An in-depth understanding of the IB PYP programme's philosophy and pedagogy

• Experience in leading and coordinating a team of teachers

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

• An ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents

• An ability to think critically and strategically

• An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
