Children's International School is looking for an inspiring PYP Coordinator to join our leadership team at our campus in Fredrikstad.
This is a key pedagogical leadership role responsible for leading and developing the IB Primary Years Programme. The PYP Coordinator works closely with the Head of School, teachers, students, and parents to ensure high-quality programme implementation, curriculum development, and continuous improvement.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has strong knowledge and experience with the IB Primary Years Programme
• Demonstrates proven instructional leadership and organisational skills
• Can lead curriculum development, unit planning, and assessment practices
• Supports and develops staff through professional learning and coaching
• Ensures alignment with IB standards and practices, including authorisation and evaluation processes
• Communicates confidently and professionally with staff, students, parents, and the IB
• Is committed to student wellbeing, inquiry-based learning, and inclusive education
Key aspects of the role:
• Leading and documenting curriculum and programme development
• Supporting teachers in planning, assessment, and inquiry practices
• Coordinating professional development
• Ensuring programme documentation and policy implementation
• Strengthening home–school communication
• Preparing for and supporting IB evaluation visits
