Kingsbrook School offers an integrated programme of eduction and therapy for young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, compounded by complex disorders.

We currently have a vacancy within our Teaching Team for a Qualified Primary Teacher who would be prepared to work with older pupils who need a primary style approach to enhance their learning.

The successful candidate will be able to plan, deliver and assess a range of subjects, including Mathematics and English.

The majority of learners will be generally working below age expectancy. The post requires someone with a depth of knowledge across a range of subjects, resilience, an ability to instil boundaries and possess a nurturing and empathetic nature. Pupils will work towards a range of qualifications at Kingsbrook and training for staff will be given where required.

Kingsbrook School is a specialist residential mixed gender therapeutic school for students aged 12 to 18 years with complex needs. These include mental health and associated difficulties, for example, behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. Some of our young people will also have developed specific needs due to a range of factors including trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder or attachment disorder.

We support up to a total of 15 young people consisting of 7 day students and 8 individuals living in residential accommodation on-site at our children’s home. We are a Norfolk-based school, situated approximately 15 miles from Norwich City.
