Due to continued growth the British Academy School Marrakech (BASM) is seeking outstanding, experienced and qualified Secondary Teachers, with QTS, in the following subject areas: Mathematics, Science, (Physics/Chemistry). Experience of teaching IGCSE, A Level and able to offer a second subject will be an advantage. The start date will be August 2024

The School

BASM is an accredited BSO and privately funded primary and secondary school, located in Marrakech, Morocco. The overarching vision of BASM is to bring the best of British education to Morocco. We follow the National curriculum for England and Wales, this is taught by qualified fluent English-speaking teachers throughout the school leading to (I)GCSE qualifications and culminating in International A Levels

The Role

The successful candidate should be adaptable, motivated by challenge, and have a proven track record of outstanding practice, as well as the ability to deliver the complete curriculum to students. We are seeking candidates who can inspire students and create a stimulating learning environment and who are passionate about lifelong learning.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Experience in teaching Science, Mathematics, or English at IGCSE and A Level
  • Exceptional knowledge of the subject area and up-to-date with curriculum changes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Passion for delivering high-quality education and fostering a nurturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community
  • Experience in teaching a second subject would be advantageous
  • Native English speaker
