This post offers an exciting and interesting opportunity for a successful, committed and motivated Teacher/Teacher of the Visually Impaired to work with children/young people who have a range of visual losses and their families as part of Cambridgeshire’s Sensory Support Team 0-25 years, SEND Services.
The Sensory Support Team is committed to improving the outcomes for children and young people with visual losses, promoting independence and access to the curriculum in preparation for adulthood. You will be required to work with any school in Cambridgeshire and will be provided with a laptop and smartphone for work purposes. You will be based at Babbage House or Amundsen House alongside other teams who support children and young people with SEND. However, much of your work will be carried out in schools and other settings.
Please note:
• Qualified teacher status is essential
• Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (QTVI) training can be provided for any candidates not yet qualified.
The Children’s Sensory Support Team is committed to safeguarding. This role is a Regulated Activity. All appointments are subject to safeguarding in recruitment checks, including enhanced criminal record checks through DBS.
