Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the high performing team in our Construction Carpentry & Joinery department at Eastbourne. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to co-ordinate apprenticeships, develop our e-portfolio systems and carry out work-based assessments for Construction C & J apprentices. The applicant will have excellent communication skills, significant industrial experience, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Carpentry, and appropriate ICT skills. You will be required to support and assess students studying on Carpentry & Joinery apprenticeships, part time and full time courses. This will mean developing relationships with employers, motivating timely completion of apprenticeship criteria, carrying out on-site assessments and ensuring employers' and apprentices' experiences are outstanding in terms of development and achievements. A clean driving licence and access to or use of transport are essential as the successful candidate will need to work across the county.
