£36,000 per annum

37.5 hours a week

We are currently working with an Independent Specialist College in Sheffield for people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The College offers a wide range of personalised programmes to their learners, based over various sites in South Yorkshire and the East Midlands.

They are currently looking to recruit a Quality Improvement Manager, who will be responsible for raising standards within teaching, learning and assessment across the College. The successful candidate will know what it takes to deliver an outstanding lesson and have a thorough understanding of the Ofsted inspection framework.

Main Duties:

· Contribute to organisational and strategic planning

· Lead quality assurance processes for the College

· Lead training and development activities for trainee tutors / qualified tutors

· Co-ordinate operational management of College curriculum resources

· Demonstrate outstanding teaching practice

Desirable Person Specification:

· Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject

· Recognised teaching qualification

· Knowledge and understanding of College quality assurance systems

· Appreciation of specialist post-16 funding requirements and methodologies

· Experienced working with multi-disciplinary teams (SaLT & OT)

· Knowledge of the demands of working with external organisations, especially, OFSTED and Awarding Bodies

· Knowledge of quality assuring RARPA 

· Knowledge and understanding of outstanding teaching and learning practices

· Knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning strategies for learners with PMLD, SLD and ASC

· Awareness of Supported Internships, Traineeships and Apprenticeships

· Ofsted Nominee trained
