The Prep Academy serves children who wish to focus on English language learning for one month periods. For those older children looking to only do A-Level coursework, a new component is being added to RPA - the A-Level courses with an eye on university acceptance afterward.

We are committed to helping students build strong academic foundations, develop global competencies, and gain admission to top universities worldwide.Raffles Prep Academy is now hiring an experienced A-Level Program Coordinator to lead curriculum development, teacher management, examinations, and academic quality.
The A-Level Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall academic leadership, compliance, and quality assurance of the A-Level programme (Cambridge/Edexcel). This role oversees curriculum planning, teacher management, examinations administration, and student academic progress. The Coordinator ensures that all A-Level operations meet international standards and supports students’ academic success and university progression.
This position is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about academic excellence, programme quality, and helping students achieve strong outcomes.

Key JD
1. Academic Leadership & Programme Management
Develop, implement, and monitor the A-Level academic framework (AS & A2).


Oversee curriculum mapping, Scheme of Work (SOW), yearly academic plans, and course outlines.


Ensure alignment with Cambridge/Edexcel subject syllabi and academic standards.


Lead academic meetings and coordinate across subjects to maintain consistency.


2. Teacher Supervision & Teaching Quality
Recruit, train, and support A-Level subject teachers.


Conduct lesson observations, teaching evaluations, and provide professional development.


Ensure strong delivery of instruction and proper use of academic resources.


Facilitate collaboration between teachers and ensure high teaching standards.


3. Examination & Assessment Management
Serve as the Examination Officer or work closely with one.


Register the school with Cambridge/Edexcel 


Manage exam schedules, assessment requirements, predicted grades, and coursework submissions.


Oversee invigilation procedures, exam security, and compliance with exam board regulations.


Coordinate internal assessments and mock examinations.


4. Student Progress & Academic Guidance
Monitor students’ academic performance, attendance, and progression.


Provide academic counselling, subject selection guidance, and intervention plans.


Work closely with mentors to support student development and learning habits.


Support students preparing for university applications (especially UCAS).


5. Compliance & Accreditation
Ensure full compliance with Cambridge/Edexcel policies and quality assurance standards.


Maintain accurate academic records, teacher documentation, and exam data.


Prepare for external inspections, audits, and centre approval processes.



Academic & Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject area (Master’s preferred).


Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching A-Level subjects.


Strong understanding of Cambridge/Edexcel A-Level syllabus and assessment structure.


Experience with academic leadership, programme coordination, or senior teacher roles.


Familiarity with international school environments or pre-university programmes.
