Wetherby School are looking for a career minded and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join our team to cover maternity leave from January 2018 for one year. There is the possibility of contract extension at the end of the maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, imaginative and driven teacher who works with equal efficacy independently and as part of a team. Experience of teaching in a Reception / EYFS setting is advantageous, as is knowledge and experience of using the Early Years Foundation stage curriculum and in monitoring and observing children in accordance with EYFS guidelines. Specific training in the teaching of phonics and in implementing the Foundation stage curriculum is desirable but not essential.
Wetherby School is an Independent boys’ school (ages 2 ½ - 8) in Notting Hill with 350 boys. It is heavily oversubscribed and is extremely successful in securing pupils’ entry into the Preparatory School of their choice. The Alpha Plus Group has its own salary scale, which is above the Central London Maintained Scale. A salary at the appropriate point on the Teachers’ scale will be offered to the successful candidate and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
