Reception Teaching Assistant.
A vacancy has arisen for a Reception Teaching Assistant to join our Pre Prep School. This is a full time post, working 40 hours per week, term time only.
The Teaching Assistant will work in the Early Years Foundation Stage and will provide invaluable support for our Reception Class Teachers.
The role includes leading activities for groups of children, preparing resources, providing supervision in the playground at playtime and lunchtime on a rota basis and producing wall displays.
The rate of pay is in line with local government pay scales depending on experience. The current starting point is £9.38 per hour.
The successful candidate must hold at least a full and relevant level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and have considerable experience.

Ashville College is a co-educational, independent school for day and boarding pupils aged 2–18. The college, set in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, comprises a pre-school, prep school and senior school with pupil numbers totaling around 870, 170 of whom are in the sixth form and 100 are boarders. The school is a registered charity, administered by Ashville College Trustees.
Ashville College was founded in 1877 as a boarding school for boys by the United Methodist Free Church. Expansion over the decades culminated in a merger with Elmfield College, Harrogate, in the 1930s, by which time Ashville was the largest private school in the north of England. The most significant development came in 1982 when the school become co-educational.
