Are you super-efficient and have an eye for detail?

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Receptionist who cares deeply about making a difference to young people’s lives.

We are looking for a really special person, committed and passionate and able to foster strong trusting relationships with parents and children alike, but efficient and committed.

Kestrel House School is an independent special educational needs school in Crouch End, North London, for boys and girls, aged 5 – 16 years who have a diagnosis of Autism. The School has a committed and innovative multidisciplinary well-being team, highly skilled teaching and learning staff; we are in a great position to provide our pupils with the best education and care possible.

We need highly-motivated and intelligent people to continue to make a difference to our children and young people.

About the Group

We are part of Acorn Care and Education and can promise you plenty of challenges, and a rich variety of opportunities to develop your career.

Acorn Care and Education provide education and care across 20 schools and 19 residential care homes nationally. Our vision is to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world. Every day we improve the lives of thousands of young people, their families and communities through a relentless focus on caring and learning.

About the Role

The Receptionist is the first point of call for visitors to the school. As the ‘face’ of the school the receptionist will be welcoming, personable, helpful and able to represent the school in a professional and friendly manner. In addition, it is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to multitask, work flexibly and have a ‘can do’ approach. You will also assist with general day to day admin tasks which therefore require an excellent level of IT skills.

As part of the Acorn Care and Education Group. We can promise you plenty of challenges, and a rich variety of opportunities to develop your career.

Who we are looking for?

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with parents and building relationships but will also be very organised and have a keen eye for detail, proficient in their use of IT and come with ideas and a desire to improve the school.

Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN environment would be desirable, excellent support skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

If you are looking to join a dedicated team in a school that will welcome your ideas and aim to re-engage the young people we teach, we would like to hear from you.

Please see the Job Description for full details regarding this position.
