Working hours: This is a full-time role, term-time only plus 1 week (40 weeks a year).

36 hours a week (9am – 5pm)

We seek to appoint an experienced and able receptionist for our primary and secondary schools in Twickenham, rated as outstanding in all areas by Ofsted.

The Receptionist will be part of a committed and enthusiastic team of support staff, providing exceptional support for learning and teaching at our College in order to provide a world class education for our pupils. The role would suit someone who is reliable and personable, with excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner. The college will continue to expand over the next three years and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape and develop the role. 

The position will involve, amongst other things:

• Being the face of the College

• Front of house duties, including answering telephones and welcoming visitors

• Answering and transferring calls and taking messages effectively 

• Using SIMS (pupil database and InVentry sign-in system)

• Communications to parents, e.g. Parent Mail, College website, letters

• Managing College office e-mails

• Managing meeting room bookings

• Updating the College website and compiling staff bulletins

• After school clubs administration

• Assisting teaching, departmental and office staff with administrative tasks

• Ad hoc project work

• Help with primary school administration

You will have:

• You will be reliable and personable with excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner

• Experience in a similar role, ideally working in a school

• A first aid qualification, or expected to complete an appropriate course

• An open, approachable and friendly manner

• Professionalism and ability to remain calm under pressure

• A “can do” attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
