‘Pupils, staff, parents and governors sing the praises of this very inclusive school’ Ofsted 2016

Are you ready to progress your career and join an academy where inspiration, fun and teamwork are second nature? If so read on.

Lea Forest Primary Academy is a popular and growing 2 form entry school and proud to serve the communities around Kitts Green in Birmingham. We are part of Academies Enterprise Trust network of schools, and we were delighted that Ofsted graded us as ‘good’ in 2016.

At Lea Forest you will find well behaved children who thrive within a culture of high performance and expectations of what they can achieve. Our staff work hard to provide a stimulating environment in which each child can realise their full potential, develop their individual abilities, alongside the acquisition of skills and establishing positive values and attitudes.

We are looking to appoint a dedicated, proactive and organised support professional to join our busy school office team. This is a busy and varied role where no two days are the same.

You will provide an effective and professional admin service to our visitors, staff, parents and community and help the Business Manager in making sure the office runs smoothly. You will also be responsible for working with teaching staff and making sure that planned school trips and educational visits are organised effectively.

School experience desirable, but consideration will be given to someone from a PA or office environment.

This is a fixed term post to cover maternity. There is potential for the post to be made permanent in a job share capacity.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Have a high standard of written English and have the ability to write clear and concise reports, letters and messages
  • Have experience of an office environment and ideally have experience of working with young people
  • Have GCSE Maths and English at a good standard.

As  the sponsor, AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them.  In each of our academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes.  You will also be entitled to the following benefits: a health cash plan, vehicle affinity scheme, childcare vouchers and Westfield rewards.

Informal visits to the Academy are welcomed, please email to arrange a visit or call the school office on 0121 675 3985.

Closing date: Friday 30 June 2017.
Interviews are scheduled to take place week commencing Monday 10 July 2017.
