Newbridge Preparatory School is seeking an enthusiastic Receptionist & School Administration Assistant to become the welcoming face of our school. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who enjoys building positive relationships while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a busy school office.

As the first point of contact for parents, visitors, pupils and staff, you will play a vital role in creating a friendly and professional welcome for everyone who visits Newbridge. Alongside reception duties, you will provide essential administrative support across the school, helping to ensure that our office operates efficiently and effectively.

The role will include:

  • Providing a warm, professional welcome to all visitors, parents and pupils.

  • Answering telephone and email enquiries, directing queries appropriately and providing excellent customer service.

  • Managing visitor sign-in procedures and safeguarding protocols.

  • Leading on daily pupil registration and maintaining accurate attendance records.

  • Overseeing First Aid administration, including maintaining records and ensuring supplies are fully stocked.

  • Supporting school communications, newsletters and general correspondence.

  • Assisting with the organisation of school tours, meetings and events.

  • Maintaining accurate pupil records and school databases.

  • Providing general administrative support including filing, photocopying, ordering supplies and handling incoming and outgoing post.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Is friendly, approachable and professional at all times.

  • Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

  • Can prioritise tasks and remain calm in a busy environment.

  • Has strong IT skills and is confident using Microsoft Office.

  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.

  • Ideally has previous experience in a school or busy administrative environment (although this is not essential).

Newbridge Preparatory School is a leading independent day school for children aged 2 to 11. Newbridge Preparatory School has been an independent day school in Wolverhampton since 1937. Newbridge Preparatory School moved to its present site in Newbridge Crescent in 1949. The school was originally founded by an eminent local surgeon and initially operated as a member of the Parents’ National Education Union.
