Bromley High School is seeking to appoint a full time Receptionist to be the welcoming face of Bromley High Junior School.
You will join our close knit and friendly Admin Team, assuming responsibility for the Reception area. You will be the first point of contact on Reception for parents, visitors and pupils to the Junior School, assisting them with their enquiries as appropriate. You will also undertake a range of administrative duties, including responsibility for the school post, dealing with telephone calls and emails, and ensuring that all registers are accurately maintained.
You will be proactive and flexible, with an excellent attention to detail and a willingness to help with a range of tasks within a busy school office environment. You will evidence substantial senior secretarial and administrative experience in a complex organisation, pairing this with a knowledge of office management processes. Excellent ICT skills, including a familiarity with Microsoft applications and a typing speed of at least 70 words per minute is essential. A recognised secretarial or administrative qualification at NVQ Level 3 or above, or the equivalent gained through experience, will also be essential.
This is a term-time only role, plus 12 days to be worked in the holidays at the discretion of the Head of the Junior School. The hours are full time, working Monday-Friday 07:30am -15:30pm (with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break).
